Congratulations to ‘Rise Above’ – Capital Region Cancer Relief the ‘people’s choice’ entry in the inaugural Canberra Community Chest Race Day last November. 
‘Win the Day’ secured second place, and our beautiful ‘Peace Officer’ came in third! Meeting the legendary Clarry Connors and his wife, along with the amazing owners John and Hayley from Sydney, made the day unforgettable. 
So many ‘good omen’ moments, including a heartwarming connection with Hayley, who shared her grandmother’s legacy of knitting and donating to charities. 
It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet with so many other amazing charities including Canberra Hospital Foundation, Roundabout Canberra, Pegasus Riding for the Disabled of the ACT and many others and celebrate the many organisations that come together to support our region. A big thank you to Thoroughbred Park and all the partners for making this day truly fabulous!

We also enjoyed an absolutely fantastic evening at the Black-Tie Partner Draw for the Canberra Community Chest! 
GOG feels truly honoured to have been selected among numerous deserving charities and community organisations for this inaugural event. Mary, Kerry, Debbie, and Mary Ann extend their gratitude to Robbie and the team at Thoroughbred Park, the owners, and trainers for hosting such a delightful evening. The highlight was drawing #10 ‘Peace Officer’, eagerly cheering him on in GOG silks on the big day!
