What a blast! So much fun – Games, lucky door prizes, best-dressed competition, raffles, tasty food and much more, led to lots of laughter and friendly chatter at our Christmas Party! It was wonderful to see so many lovely members from each of our workshops join us on the day!
Thank You to Joleen from Canberra Hospital ICU and Kathleen from the Gungahlin Walk in Centre for coming along and passing on their thanks to the GOG team! Certificates were presented on behalf Melissa O’Brien, ED at Cancer and Ambulatory Support for our contribution to improving paediatric health care at the Walk in Centres.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing GOG Elves who helped make the event such a wonderful success – Zoe, Kerry, Mary Ann and our lovely photographer on the day for taking some wonderful photos. Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets, tried the ridiculously hard trivia, played our newest GOG Game ‘GOG Says’ and for the fun chatter and of course all the wonderful projects that were worked on and completed on the day!
And on Christmas Eve Mary and Zoe were truly honoured to be invited into the ICU for the last GOG delivery of the year. Sharing the love and warmth of our GOG family with patients, their families, and the beautiful dedicated staff was a real privilege. It was made even more special being there and witnessing Harry and Megan work their magic! Thank you to Erin for your support and of course all our GOG members for giving so much and allowing us to be a part of such a special moment.
We can’t wait to see you all for some more fun at our traditional New Year’s Special Lunch in January! Keep an eye out for the date on our GOG Calendar of Events for January 24!!
