Hands-on, compassionate care from dedicated healthcare professionals is the heartbeat of our community, and our work only thrives thanks to those exceptional nurses – our ‘GOG Champions’. 
Last week, one of those champion nurses received a well-deserved honour at the 2026 ACT Nurses and Midwives Excellence Awards.
We couldn’t be prouder to see Erin Gilligan recognized for her extraordinary, tireless dedication across the ICU at Canberra Hospital where we first met her, and now Clare Holland House. Knowing firsthand the difference she makes every day and seeing her awarded one of the five highly cherished Consumer Recognition Awards means the world to us – it’s a true testament to the profound impact she has on patients, families, and everyone who works alongside her.
It was an absolutely wonderful evening overall, and it was lovely to meet the Minister for Health, Marisa Paterson during the event and to be able to share a little about Erin’s connection with GOG. We feel immensely privileged to collaborate with such passionate professionals throughout ACT Health Services.
