Our latest Stitch for Wellness session in ICU yesterday was a HUGE hit! The feedback forms were overflowing with love – everyone said they had fun, felt relaxed, and are already asking for more.
It looks like we’ll be booking several sessions over the coming months so even more staff can enjoy a little yarny downtime. An extra huge thank you to the amazing Alison from Harpcare ACT, who played for us throughout the session and even let those who wanted to, have a magical try on the harp.
A massive THANK YOU to our wonderful GOG volunteers who came in and shared their skills and smiles – you made the room light up – connecting with the volunteers was what made one person’s day!
These kinds of sessions aren’t just fun – they’re proven all over the world to boost mental health, reduce stress, feel relaxed and help people feel more connected. And judging by all the laughter and smiles, we’d say the science checks out! We’ll definitely need a bigger room next time.
