Thank you to the team at North Canberra Hospital for sharing this heart-warming story for this week’s Feedback Friday. It’s wonderful to hear the comfort and joy that a Gogster hug can bring in difficult times
“This week we have had a stall in the Main Foyer for Palliative Care Week.
Rachel, from Claire Holland House was on the stall and had some GOG Goodies displayed, including Gogsters, chickens, blankets and fidget muffs.
An older gentleman who was a patient in ICU came up to the stall to have a look. He stopped to look at the stall and commented on one of the Gogsters. Rachel gave the Gogster to him and as he hugged it, he began to cry. The gentleman was crying because of the comfort he experienced by hugging the Gogster.”
Don’t forget that you can make your own Gogster for our upcoming Knit in Public Day Gogster competition
on 14 June! Every Gogster you donate is another chance to share the magic of a Gogster hug with people in the Canberra community who are in hospital, aged care or hospice care
Head to our website for patterns and inspiration, or come along to our next weekend meet-up to get a hand starting your Gogster project!
