FUN and FOTOGRAPHY!

Every working bee has it’s own special vibe and this Saturday’s vibe was ‘fun and fotography’! 😃

We had our usual small groups where our beautiful mentors were helping out with new stitches and patterns, as well as passing on some handy hints when learning and teaching stitching. Thanks to Ondrae I leant another new edge to neaten up and strengthen beginning of Knitting rows. Pearl learnt a new beanie and slipper pattern, Lucy’s Amigurumi is well on the way thanks to Susan, and Linda learnt to make Robyn’s amazing ‘mobius fiddle toy’. It was relaxed and fun and our newer members are well on their way to completing their first projects and collaborating on larger ones!

The ‘Foto’ vibe came from a visit by Mads Oconnor, now local Canberra photographer, who has so generously offered to take pics of our working bees for the purpose of promotional use. The offer of collaborating on a promotional video is an exciting one and something we’ve been looking to do for quite some time. We are all excited to see the photos to come out of the afternoon, especially the group photo taken on the beautiful wooden staircase! We all left feeling very special! 😉 Thank you Mads!! 😃

Thanks to everyone for the mountains of Goodies we received! Margaret looked like she was carrying a Santa’s sack, full of beautiful blankets! Kate’s continued donation of Mini’s are such fun, and all of them have individual names and personalities, and of course Robyn’s UFO’s continue to amaze.

It was lovely to receive some projects from our newer members, too. Judith turned in a very cute little octopus and beanie, Shelly a gorgeous crocheted cable beanie and mittens, and Linda, well she’s been busy also working on so many new projects including a Raiders blanket, Gogster and some Goodie Dolls! Jane dropped off another stunning knitted blanket! Amazing work everyone and I can’t wait to see you all next time at our next get together! 😃
