The GOG Working Bee was a hive of activity this afternoon, as conversation buzzed, and hooks and needles flew and clacked as members worked on a diverse range of projects. It was particularly fabulous to see more Christmas themed ‘block of the month’ rugs completed and/or nearing completion, what a wonderful success this project has become and enormous thanks needs to go to those members who are pulling the squares together … as some-one who is a ‘sewing up avoider’ you are my heroes!
Even though we held our Christmas party at the last get together there was still a whiff of Christmas in the air as a number of members donned their Christmas finery again and donated even more Christmas themed goodies to be handed over to the Canberra Hospital. Every time I looked around at the cabinets laden with donations, the piles of amazing goodies seemed to grow! If ever I need inspiration, or a reminder of why I joined this wonderful group, I just need to look over these photos … there is so much creativity, skill, generosity and love in these goodies … so thank you all for being so inspiring 💞 – Barbara
