9 July – Several months ago a beautiful person donated some gorgeous but unusual wool to GoG via the Canberra Hospital. Not knowing what to do with it, I took it to the Wool Expo at the Old Bus Depot Markets. There I was put in touch with the very lovely Barbara, Fibre Artist from Nimmitabel, who explained that it was ‘roving’ which needed to be spun! After hearing about how we came to have it and who GoG was, she very kindly offered to spin it for us!❤️ This weekend she returned to the Markets with the completed product! 😁
I would like to say a very heartfelt thanks to all the spinners who helped with this project (esp the lovely lady who took the time to dye some a gorgeous red😊). I can’t wait to start working on a blanket with this! Thank you Barbara! 💝
