Special Guest at Craft and Conversation!

Last week at Dickson ‘Craft and Conversation’ we had a special guest come along and ‘bring his friend’! Jim, who makes countless beanies, scarves and fiddle muffs for GOG, gave us a lesson on how to use his special loom knitting machine! Everyone was fascinated and some of us were even brave enough to have ago!  Jim Says he can make 10 beanies in a day, but says the hardest part of making a beanie on the machine is picking up the stitches and sewing up the top. His preferred method is the hand loom, which is slower and more mindful. Thanks Jim for coming along and sharing and for all the footy team beanies and scarves you’ve donated over the years!
